ANOther reason I don’t like getting rid of my ducks or chickens is because of all these names I give them. I sold a pulley to some friends, I had named her Mercedes, and her brother is Edmond Dante’s. They renamed her EMILY. A cute name, nice name, but I don’t know, I liked my name for her. She just doesn’t look like an Emily. One of my friends calls Jemima, Pipper. I hate when she does that

I have been asking my Husband to build me a house up off the ground for my Ducks in the Dog Run..Or Build me a simple box that's open on one end for my Ducks that don't want to use the Dog house. I have the little shed thing but I can't move it myself and using that would mean I'd have to cut a hole in the Run so the Birds could go in and out themselves.. Probably will be doing the same thing as last winter and it was a pain daily..

Everyone has names here..I threaten to sell off all my Chickens because I could use the Coop and Run for my Calls. I just can't get myself to do it though.

I spoke too soon about the poult... they let it under them last night but kicked it out this morning. So it's going in with the quail. The quail act like it's their momma but it's a little Jake. I did the leg test and it pulled its legs up..... but it likes the quail and isn't mean to them....

oh yes. All the chicken chicks are happy as can be and the mommas are being good to them. Poor Jake (i named him that just now) just was too odd for them. I'm just surprised they took them all.

Thinking of putting their hutch in the garden where they can get out and the mommas can teach dust bathing and such.
