I am considering a blue laced red wyandotte rooster. It is only 4 months old though so a cockerel. I am having a terrible time finding a good rooster that I trust the person responding is telling me the truth about its temperament. The very handsome one that is a byc member's that would have fit in (I believe), they decided to keep. Which I don't blame them.
I am going to ask some more questions before I decide though. Oh, the best thing - this one is only 30 min away! And, they raise blrw, so thinking I could reach out to them in the future to get pullets.

If his temperament isn’t what you wanted put him in the freezer. Don’t pay more than $15 for a cockerel unless he’s show quality.
Oh my. Your mom is ok with this? ;)
Oh she’s away for a couple of days. Remember how I didn’t feel right buying those headphones for myself, well I treated myself to the mice.
Better sex them. Pet stores are notoriously bad about sexing rodentia.
Oh joy.

I've tried 3 Wyandotte roosters so far, and I won't try anymore. Every single one just grabbed hens whenever the urge hit him. Hopefully you have better luck with them than I did. :idunno

I like your mice, cool. :thumbsup

Meet Tuxedo, my camera shy, handsome and super sweet male Holland Lop! He will be the girl's new boyfriend. About the same age. They get the candlelight and Marvin Gay around the beginning of September. ...

Scored this today! I'll let the smaller bag dry out for the coops, and the larger will go in the garden!

The Hubbs last night on the roof to Rose's stall, and today's progress with two more sheets of plywood. Just a bit more before the tin goes up!

The next time my parents drive up to Muncie I swear I'm sending some of my Ameracauna bloodline to you. Jumbo is such a good rooster, good babysitter for the babies and youngers, takes care to make sure all his flock go out and return safely, and a gentleman to the hens. Doesnt flog or attack. Super good bloodlines. Then you could make some F1 EEs
