Ok, so one other question. He has some EE pullets. Should I get one now, so when I integrate there are 2 since the cockerel is not a full rooster or do you think that matters? I think 2 more birds would fit in the space that I have without issues.
I actually was going to suggest that to you but didn't want to complicate your thoughts..:gig
Yes, the intragration will be less stressful if they have each other..

I am asking to see if he still has those as well. In his ad he stated he did but that was days ago. Ooh. Chicken math is fun. :gig

Yes...It's a contagious infection...:gig..Maybe he has the Cockerel and two Pullets?..That's what I'd try to get..:celebrate

I only say that because your one Hen isn't doing great. She might have something going wrong with her reproductive organs...
She has been laying multiple eggs at a time. I know it is her. Roost egg and then soft shelled and a slightly dirty bottom. But, she is doing well otherwise. If she were in a bad way, I would cull. Also a different one had a huge crop last night. I am not sure if she ate all the spaghetti squash I gave them yesterday or what. But, I am going to check to see that it is empty this morning.
I really like my chickens and they have been good for someone who knew virtually nothing about chickens until I got them.
I just don't know if I have the space for 3. My husband woukd be like . :gig

This can go 2 ways either the cockerel will only mate with the pullet he was introduced with or he will mate all the hens.
