I can't even follow that.I guess you were not following. Elsa and Jenny started laying eggs in the crate too!..Staggered hatch. I tossed out 4 viable eggs but way to early. Yesterday I removed the last 3 eggs so Bonnie would begin to feed her 4 hatched. One egg was dead and these two are alive. I think the one is internally pipped but I'll know more tonight in the dark.
Definitely not an ideal situation at all...

Yes...I don't know these ones dates to hatch but are gull and almost ready.I can't even follow that.
Old lady told me to take two of her Chicks or even Broody poop smelling bedding and rub on the new Chicks. She won't notice a difference then.
Chickens and birds in general don’t have a very strong sense of smell so no need to rub the chicks with poop.

It's generally the sound of their chirps I think. It's why the hen talks to her eggs in those last few days and the chicks talk back so they can bond even before hatch.I wasn't going to rub poo on them. Just the bedding..
I don't know honestly and I'll definitely do anything to get them in with Bonnie..
I know all this Lisa...That's why I'll try the old ladies ways and see what happens...
