If I were you I'd call the local Tractor supply and find out the exact day they get day old chicks in and go that day to ensure you get new babies to put under the Hen..

I’m definitely going to call before I go to make sure they actually have day old chicks.

I’m so tired today. I don’t want to study for my stupid plant science exam on Thursday.

Ok so I am not wanting make this a big deal..cuz I know what to do I just want to see if you guys have had this same experience. My pekin tripped over a stick and then over some metal in the woods and he has had this limp for over a week. I felt it(hot and swollen) and I have been putting ointment on it and it has gotten a little better. I am open to taking him to the vet but wanted to wait it out for a couple days. I don't want to not go to the vet and it end up being a permanent limp. I think that if it was a sprain it would go away in several days but...it has been more then several days. He still walks on it but I wonder if it if just because he is used to the pain.

No different than a person who sprains its leg. It can take weeks to heal. If more was injured then a Vet is the best option.

Forest wants the heck out of that small pen but the weather is terrible so I won't be cleaning the one empty Duck pen till tomorrow..Plus my husband has to put my wheelbarrow together tonight...
