That is why some Eggs under a Hen hatch 2 days later...
Makes sense. Thanks, speaking of hens. My duck hens refuse to lay in their nest. Instead they're laying in the flooded ditches :th The water drained and I found 13 eggs on the ground where the water was. These ducks are killing me.

I know they can be frustrating...Last year my one Hen laid her egg in the kiddie pool so I removed the pool..That went on for days...

Yup, they sure can be! But yet i still want more? They can be pretty enjoyable most of the times. I really want some East Indies & Snowy Mallards too but i'm afraid the mallards will fly away?

Try locking them in longer in the morning so they lay in the shed?...I do that now...
I might have to start doing that :th
