Ok, so the plan was to buy a resin rubbermaid shed this weekend. It is 7x7. I was going to house the ducks and the chickens inside with them at opposite sides at night. But, now I am rethinking. Should I still buy the shed? It is under $500. Plus, buy or build something for the ducks?
We do have an old playset that we built for my kids when they were younger. The platform would be perfect for the ducks with a few mods.
But, then I am not sure about getting such a big shed. I could go smaller for the chickens. I need to limit myself or the hubs will want home grown chicken and duck dinners. :sick

I believe resin sheds will get really hit in the summer. If you touch the outside of one of those sheds that’s been sitting in the sun all day you could get a minor burn. It would probably need to be insulated and have a lot of ventilation added.

Cleaning out their brooding box today so expect lots of pictures ;)

It always seems a little quiet without him huh @Brahma Chicken5000?

How was the flight?

:th

:woot I still have to go outside and look for eggs.. I'm so cozy though..

Tsk tsk..

I have all my Guineas, Turkeys, ducks, and chickens free range in the same place, All get along. Turkeys mate the turkeys, Ducks mate the ducks, Guineas mate the guineas, and chickens mate the chickens, I've never seen a drake try to mingle with my chickens. My ducks and turkeys sleep in my barn, And my chickens and Guineas have their own coops.

Welcome to the club :highfive: :caf

I did wonder if those vids were due to the drake not having mating options. I am getting full size ducks. I want a drake too. But, I could just opt out of a drake for now just to get the duck experience? Oh my so many decisons.
Oh yeah, the sleepless night club is more oft than not these days. :old

Yeah, I am going to install the window areas with hw cloth instead of the plastic panels they come with. Plus add ventilation. It is a double core shed or something like that.
