Just so any one knows, I am generously offering to take all your extra Call ducklings and hatching eggs, because you probably don't need anymore and I DO. I can't take anymore duckling photos! It's driving me crazy!

I have always used nothing, from my experiences chickens don't recover long term from problems no matter what you do. Pretty sad they had to remove antibiotics from the shelves because people couldn't control themselves. Now everyone is using the injectable stuff. Won't be long before they remove that too, which is sad, stuff like penicillin still is good for goats kids if the get pneumonia from drinking like pigs from their bottles.

People need to come to terms with the fact that animals die, instead of always try to fix stuff. Prevention is best. I get it, but chickens don't respond to treatment the way other creatures do. Generally if a chicken is going you ain't gonna stop it. That's my 2 cents.

...I never try try to save any of my Chickens..I Cull the sick ones..Chickens are livestock to me. I enjoy Chickens although I was raised to Cull them too..

Do calls only lay for a short period and then quit? I haven’t had eggs in several days-though my pastel looks very bottom heavy.

My Calls lay for awhile take a break for a week or so and lay again for weeks..My Hens stop laying completely if I allow them to set eggs...Example, Penelope was allowed to set Eggs the end of June, hatched out 4 July 25th and never started laying again till December..

Oops, Good Morning Peeps..
Another up early morning...I can't sleep with this water situation looming over my head...I melted snow so I could water my Birds with clear water...I hope today it gets figured out...

I always need more Ducks and the eggs I incubate and sell the Ducklings or Keep for breeding...Sorry I can't help you..If your in Alberta, Canada I can sell you Ducklings......

Yes, I'll share pictures...Jane probably would ship one to you too if I asked her too.....
Goldie goes to Janes to whelp out because my Son is clueless about whelping and would probably gag watching....I will get pictures of the little sweet hearts though and post them on here..

My Pal even says he loves Muscovy so don't listen to me......He also loves Calls though too. He had his Muscovy with the Geese mostly and then kept separated only for Breeding season..You really need Ducks though..You will love them.
