You must have our type of water, comes brown out of the tap stinking of sulfur. Lots of iron here too. We have 4 different filters on ours.

Twice in the last 10 years our well pipe had rusted off. My goofy husband dug down 7 feet with a shovel to fix it the first time, the second time I let him rent a backhoe.

Water problems are no fun and stressful, especially when it's still frozen hard out.
