It is in pieces since it had to be taken apart to put in the truck. I am leaving it like that so that I can clean it. This is the one I got, the pic is from a google search.

Fantastic...That will work...Cover the windows with plywood and leave vents of hardware cloth...

I have until probably the middle of April to get it done. Well, thats when the ducklings should be here so I have a little longer to get it all ready.

Here is my plan. Secure it to pallets that has a plywood base fixed to it. Add hw cloth, either plywood or a thick plastic (like plexiglass) to the windows, but make it so that it can be open for the warmer months, leave enough ventilation, add a nest area. I might add a roost since I am getting muscovys and they like to roost.

So, my run area is cattle panel and I am hoping the ducks and chickens can coexist during the day. There should be plenty of space (16'x16') but I might add two lengths of the panel to add another 16' length. Which would give 16x32 foot run area. The coops are inside the run. However, my run is open. I am planning on putting bird netting or snow fence over the run to keep birds of prey out. However, not sure how secure the playhouse would be throughout the night. I like the idea of adding a dog run, but my husband is not happy about giving up more space to poultry. Oh, he doesn't understand what he agreed to either.
So, any ideas besides buying dog run for the ducks?
