Spoiled Birds...Happy life..Wendy is so funny. She follows me around because she wants mealworm treats from me and when I show her that my hands are empty she gives me this look like she’s saying “Are you serious? No mealworms!”![]()
He grew up here but I'm sure he isn't liking it.That must be a temperature shock for him.![]()
I've got 8 call eggs under a broody, Putting 8 more under another broody, and incubating some Turkey eggs~@MillersFarm do you have eggs hatching soon?
I think I noticed it fast enough to save it, She did pass the egg but another one of my hens ended up getting egg-bound and I didn't notice until it was too late unfortunately@MillersFarm what ever happened to your egg bound bantam hen? Is she alright? Did she pass the egg?
Oh wow, you have a beautiful set-up! How many goats do you have?My shed is 40x40, chickens have access to about 30x35. I have about 70-80 chickens in the shed. They are completely free range, and can come and go as they please. My bantam coop is 8x10 with around 15 bantam, up to 20 at times, but never a constant 20.
We live on 40 acres. Lots of chicken forage areas. My shed.

@MillersFarm what’s happening by you?
It could be that she's just adjusting? How long have you had your chickens for?I’m worried about Albastru. She doesn’t come running out of the henhouse straight for the feed in the morning like Wendy does, she just lingers in the henhouse. I put the food bowl in the henhouse if Albastru is inside while Wendy is foraging. I don’t think she like sit if I try to watch her eat. Maybe I’m being over protective? I know that the coop is small, but it’s all I have for right now. I was going to buy lumber tomorrow and start to build the run panels but my garage door is broken and my dad said not to open it so I can’t take out he table saw to cut the lumber down to size. And now we might need a new garage door and money is tight as it isOh well, better to have to spend money on a garage door than on the doctor.
