I wondered what happened to you. Glad to see you are back!Good Morning Peeps
Wow, missed everything yesterday!..
Adorable Ducklings Ladies...
Our Well should be drilled Wednesday or Thursday. They brought us a water tank yesterday so we have water now to shower. The problem is they plugged into my Chicken garage and we thought they just tripped the breaker?..
Nope the tank heater and pump caused a plug to burn so it took 5 hours for them to figure out that issue.. They even had to call in an Electrician to fix it..
Happy news now..I have 5 Ducklings hatched and others still hatching today...So adorable. One looks like Casanova..
I'll post pictures later..
Murphy? As in murphy's law?Murphy is really toying with me. Had a nagging feeling at 5am... found the incubator lid slightly askew and the humidity downto 32% and the temp at about 80. These poor babies.
I went out this morning and all of their food was gone!@Soon2BChixMom
Congrats on the Ducklings..It will take time to tame them because they are not human imprinted..Just take your time and sit with them with your hand in the Brooder..They sure are adorable.

What watt is the Bulb?..I use 250 the first few days then a 175..Either angle it if a clip on or hang Higher in only part of the Brooder so they can escape the heat if needed...Also, how do you regulate a stupid heat lamp?
250. It is clamped to a dog gromming thingamagig. I have them up on the table for now. Last night it was 80-85 F. The hubs thought I should add more bedding so I did (yeah he is begrudgingly helping hehehe). This moring the two thermometers read 95-100 F. Not sure which one to trust. They had enough room to move and not be baked ducklings. They were all lined up in a row. So cute. What watt is the Bulb?..I use 250 the first few days then a 175..Either angle it if a clip on or hang Higher in only part of the Brooder so they can escape the heat if needed...
