It's cloudy here and I was out walking around my yard because Kupid is up in my pasture and two Mallards popped out by a few bushes. I wonder if they are nesting in my pasture?..I'm too scared to go look because I was attacked by a Mallard Hen when I was 10 ...:gig...:lau

These people are nuts and throwing Dog parties and Blah blah blah...:thHonestly they Drink and the lettuce flows and no one watches the dogs...:gig..:barnie
I do no like people who dont take responsibility for their animals. That's how so many end up as roadkill or death by suicide attacking my chickens........

Oh. Well, no I am not naive. But, have never heard it called that. Lol other names, but not lettuce. Ha.
I've heard it as hippie lettuce or salad......

SOOOOOO.... Y'all are going to think the Hubbs and I are CRAZY! We were talking last night about the duck run, the chickery, and the new brooder boxes; and about how our latest builds were the best and what made them better and what wasn't working about our coops, what it would take to make them better, did we feel like doing it or not.... After some careful thought and consideration, we are turning the chickery into a coop for our Orpingtons, of course we will add a large run to it. And we are going to set aside some money to breakdown and buy a nice coop or shed for the Ameracaunas. Bit by bit we are going to take apart two of three that we have built. The third just needs a better roof and we have the tin to make that improvement along with buried skirting and switching over to sand. I'm so excited!!!! We've also made plans toward our build projects for the pheasant runs and the duck additions! And we've decided on a barn design for Jupiter. Yay! I've been secretly hating the design flaws in the two coops we are taking down! Just so happy the Hubbs is finally seeing it! I guess it just takes men longer.....?

So, no broody hens. I think the one had a smelly runny poop. I also think it is the one having laying issues - soft shelled eggs to dropping eggs from the roost.
Yesterday in the evening when I did my evening check, there was a wet spot on the chicken side in the run - which was not in an area where there was water. Then I saw an egg laying on the ground. It had discoloration and would have made my 4th egg.
I then had a soft shell this morning in the coop.
I cleaned up the smelly stuff and it was mostly wet. Now, I think I know which IB it is since I saw a poopy butt.
I can't do anything until later this afternoon.
So, what am I looking for? Warm bath? Vent check?

How old are the ISA Browns? Sex Links and production strains are very prone to reproductive issues. I would check her out to make sure she doesn’t have a prolapsed vent. It may be time to put her down.

She is two or close to it.
After these IBs are gone, I won't be getting sex linked chickens any more.
