Oh....Sounds like you invested in someone else's problem..I hope you can train her...
Well..... Not quite.....
A 2 year old horse that doesn't lead? Sounds like fun. :th......:old.....I'm too old for that. I don't miss horses these days. Now I see how dangerous they can be. Couldn't see it when I was younger.

This is a true story...Chinese lady I can't understand wants my Chicks..Sold to her before a great person. I have been drinking beer so can't answer her call because I definitely won't be able to understand her now..:gig
I feel bad for ignoring her call...:lau
I don't speak Chinese...
:lau:gig
But I don’t want to be “Crossing the Road” :tongue
Why the ducky heck does everyone have to question the chickens motives for crossing the road!? The darn grass is greener and the worms are juicier!!! Duh!:lau:gig
I never noticed and I'm an enabler...:gig
You NEVER noticed huh? Between you and our president we should own all the calls in the world! :lau:lau:lau j/k your the practical voice in the back of our heads trying to get us to listen to reason! (Thank God!)
Oh my Lord ...:hugsMaster your own flock...:wee

My best friend really but can be my biggest headache too..:barnie...Men...:idunno:confused:
aren't they all???? Lol. Mine makes me laugh so hard I want to pee sometimes and then other times he makes me so mad that I cry.:th

Ok, hope y'all like books cause here it is.... I'll sign copies later....

I'll start off with... We did not end up with Jasmine. Went up to get her (a whole hour and 20 min drive there and then back again) and the dumb people had her in the barn alley not her stall. Told them my friends husband was a trainer and if he couldn't get her to lead no one could. But they just kept on.... Dummies! We get there and her knees are tore up from them trying to force her into the trailer!:smack:mad: seriously? WT*..... At this point I don't even want her bc she is too stressed and it's no way to start off with a horse. My trainer friend attempts to calm her so she can safely get back in her stall.... Then the guy starts up rudely interrupting him getting her upset all over and she darts off to the back and totally busted through the gate, off into 100 acres plus of pasture. And the guy has the nerve to be upset with us for her getting out. Says " it will be another month before I get her back in". Omg. It was drama drama drama. I ain't about that. So the lady was a little downtrodden. She just wanted her to go to a good home with someone who cared enough to take the time.... Come to find out, the reason she wasn't lead trained... The woman had worked with getting her to take the lead while in the stall, she would let her put it on and started responding to pressure. Then one day the guy just throws it on her and she is scared so she rears up on him. Ever since she has little to no trust..... It's so sad because with a proper diet she would be beautiful. And in the right hands she was sweet enough to become a really great horse. Makes me so mad how he was....:rant:he:mad::smack:smacki really want to call animal control services on them. There are other things I found out that are too horrible to mention. But we stopped to help a farmer get his cow back to pasture aand got to talking.... Lots of terrible things... Makes my heart really hurt and bleed for the animals. They must have sedated her for the vet check.....:idunno

On a positive note..... I wasn't going to allow myself to be discouraged. So I got back to looking through the available horses I had found. Saved a few to talk over with the Hubbs. Did a new search... Literally in the time we had gone to go see about loading her up, a local guy had posted a gorgeous, broke as they come, 12 yr sorrel mare. Needing a pick me up, I set up for us to just go and LOOK at her. No real intentions to commit or anything. We go, it's late, she is down at the bottom of the pasture, no interest in coming up. Come to find out this guy trades, trains, rescues, rehabilitates, the works. She was a trade with a couple looking for a younger gaited horse. We told the man (Saturday evening) that we would come back after church (obviously on Sunday). Went yesterday around 2:30. Saw a gaited TWH. Rode her. Lovely horse. Not what I was looking for, OK around the kiddos and their craziness... Saw the sorrel. Rode her. Beautiful easy ride. Listened to commands. Felt when shifted between walk/trot/canter and back. Asked the guy if I could take her back on the stretch and see how she did wide open. OMG!!!! She flew! Had wings of a graceful swan! Cooled her down. Unsaddled and saw how she handled my crazy brood and grooming. Didn't even have to tie her. She just stood there. Loved every minute of the attention from me and even the kids. I mean loved the kids. A dog from across the way came running around and yapping... Didn't phase her. My vet friend went with us and gave her a check. She said she was the age they said. Great body condition. no rolling or limping. no scarring on her frogs. Healthy teeth...etc. .I had planned on getting a saddle in another month or so...... Brought my full tack gear home last night. She is being delivered this afternoon. If no rain tomorrow I get to go riding!!!!!! Hubbs is now even excited about teaching the kids to ride and how to properly lead and groom and care for one! It went from him saying my horse to our horse. I foresee more acreage in our future for more horses. This guy was as upfront and honest as they came. Told us no on one or two of the others based on our needs and wants. Showed us what would fit best. Really knew his animals and how to handle them and had clean stalls, fresh bedding, clean fresh hay, clean water tanks in multiple places.... So happy things worked out the way they did!

Sorry for going MIA. Been crazy. And we spent more on our gal than our origional intentions since we got the whole tack setup so didn't pay my phone bill. Has to wait a week now so I am currently using library wifi....:idunnois what it is.

Here are the pics from the ad where I found her. I will take more once she is delivered and settled in to the back pasture. Upload when I get back on wifi of course. So I will basically be in and out randomly during the day at some point through this week until my phone is back on. Talking to my Hubbs, parents and y'all are really the only things I use this thing for anyways. Lol.
