I was out doing chores. Darn muscovies have been up on that gazebo all day - pooping up a storm!

I can't believe Fancy and Sassy adopted ALL the babies! I'm on cloud ten thousand right now!!! I just went and checked and all babies are safely tucked under mommas sleeping and warm!! Seriously I'm so excited!

Yes’m, the four ducks that survived the coon attack. Leia, Han, Odette and Jemima, the only one left of my old flock. Jasper, Gilbert, and Daphne are all gone
As much as I don’t want to keep Edmond, I couldn’t bear to cull him or Napoleon. I must be a sucker for punishment. We did cull a sickly, lame hen a while back

Agh! Sorry I haven’t been on. I was at the county fair all last week. Kinda crazy around here. I’m up to 49 birds... 7 coops or so.

Downsizing gradually this fall. I’m going to sell the ducklings, some chicks, egg layers, etc...I’ll have around 25 birds for the winter. Pictures and updates tomorrow.
