Couldn't you just put him in a crate in the coop or run. I personally wouldn't add him directly. His presence could cause you hens to freak out at night. Chickens can break their neck if they start flying about at night.
I can crate him. The slats are probably big enough for a weasel to get in. But, if I crate him, I could also just leave it as is because it is the same possibility. It never occurred to me until just a bit ago. :hmm

Don't know yet. We will see what I get from the other 9 eggs my other hen is sitting on. I don't mind multiple drakes. They keep each other busy. If I have any troublemakers they will go.
Speaking of troublemakers... do muscovy drakes outgrow naughty aggressiveness? Mine keeps trying to bite me. I have held him down numerous times and once I do - he usually goes an opposite direction.

If there’s room you could put the crate in the henhouse for the night.

You have a garage you can move the crate into?

I've never had a human aggressive drake. My chicken harassing drake wouldn't stop no matter what I tried on him. I don't think they can be trained out of stuff. I definitely tried everything with him before I had enough of it all.

I usually don't make my drakes friendly, so mine have always moved away from me. I personally wouldn't want a muscovy drake coming at me. The are big strong birds with sharp claws.

He is usually "greeting" me at the door with hisses and then follows me around. When he gets too close, I poke him and tell him no. He has bit at my leg two times. Tonight I had boots on. I try not to let him get too close like that, but was occupied getting things around for the rooster.
Out in the yard he doesn't usually bother me.
I thought maybe after he really occupies himself with the girls, he won't bother me?
I am thinking of giving him 2 more months. He would be about 7 months then. I am kind of sad as I don't know if I caused this.

Generally with any male poultry, becoming too familiar with humans, can often turn into them trying to dominate you. That's why I make sure mine always run from me when younger. I haven't raised any in a different manner so I'm unsure if you caused it or not. You could try asking on the Muscovy thread. My experiences with drakes is limited to about 5.

Muscovy drakes are more leisurely than mallard based ducks. They don't mate as much and they tire easily. At your drakes age he would be sparring with any other young males so perhaps he's missing that too.

I would continue as you are and perhaps he does grow out of it. Hormonal birds don't always make the best decisions. If ever you are uncomfortable with his behaviors towards you than I would be rid of him. Male poultry of any species can be a pain in the butt at times.
