Okay..Well I won't yap at you anymore...I have to study for my math test on Monday so I won’t be on much today.

He’s so handsome.Babby yesterday. The ducks got to his crest & beard a bit so I’ve separated the ducks and chickens now. I’m anxious to see what Babby will look like when he’s fully grown. Then I’ll cross him to a silkie, and maybe cross that offspring to another silkie/cochin then I THINK (I don’t know) I’ll have Satin Silkies!

Isn't a Satin Silkie the same thing as a Silkie Cochin Kayla? The people I got these chicks from call them Satin Silkie and they are Silkie Cochin cross..It’s alright.I like Silkie/Cochins and I also like Satin Silkies. We all have our preferences.

No... it takes a few generations to get Satin Silkies. Well still a cross though. Silkie and Cochin.No... it takes a few generations to get Satin Silkies. But Cochins are involved with the cross, you don’t get Satin Silkies in the first crossing.![]()
