Oh no 12 should be good with a stable incubator. Just be very careful to watch them especially the last few days. Males tend to be louder than other breeds but not nearly as loud as the females

Is it a bad idea to look on eBay? I want an assortment but I dont want to buy more than 12. Where do you suggest buying them from?

It's defiantly not a bad idea to try Ebay. Many people purchase from there but there is a risk involved. I would only buy from dealers with excellent feedback. It's a little late in the season for some people's calls but you might be able to find some breeders here on BYC who can give you an assortment

I definately want some whites but i think it would be cool to get a bunch of other colors as well. I will keep looking on eBay and here. I just dont want to spend a fortune. I found one dealer on ebay that had a review froma customer that said out of 18 eggs she bought, 13 hatched! i thought that was pretty good for call ducks!!

That's defiantly a excellent hatch rate! I would continue to watch Ebay and if you find the right deal for you I would jump on it. Also you can try to locate some locally through craigslist or the BST section.
