call Ducks

I might be getting some call ducks and I have some ?
1. What coler are the eggs they lay?
Any other tips on call ducks would be nice.

Call duck eggs are usually a very pale shade of green. They have a much waxier look to the shell then chickens. They are wonderful little birds. I hav a trio and then I also have several young calls. If you have full size ducks you might want to keep a close eye on them, a drake will try and mate any hen even if they are the tiny calls. Call eggs take about 26 days to hatch compared to 30 to 35 for some of the full sized ducks. Good luck. Jenn

Any mallard derrived duck breed(from calls to Pekins) take 26-27 days incubation, only breed of domestic duck that needs longer then that are muscovies.

I dont have other ducks but I do have chickens but they will be seperete
can two males be kept together?

2 males can be together but if you only have 1 hen you will have to separate a hen and drake. Dont keep 2 drakes with one hen or she will be bred constantly by both and could be hurt or die. Jenn

so you could have 2 drakes and 2 ducks together

Would they be O.K. in -40 weather if they had four walls and a roof
with no insalation or would they need a heat lamp.
