I didn't calibrate any of the theromometers, just used three different ones. Next time I'll know better.

I just checked again and one of the eggs has an external pip!!!!!!!!

The pipped egg is zipping now! And really vocal! She also seems to be encouraging the others which are wiggling around now as well!

Maybe in a few hours I'll have my first duckling!!! ))

Little Schubert is here! Brooder is set up but I'll leave her be until she's fluffy. Hoping her siblings will soon follow suit! My first hatched egg, ever!!

Congrats....Once it gets moving around its fine to put in brooder to finish drying...I always do.....

I removed her to finish drying and re-positioned the other eggs. Of the remaining 4, one has now externally pipped. I quickly candled the others (a few seconds each) because a few are presenting a little oddly and I wanted to check on things. In one egg, you can clearly see a yellow orb through the air cell, and movement of the baby. I find this a little weird -- since I can see its yolk, does this mean this particular duckling may be malpositioned?
