Ok so this morning Mozart (silvery colored, no idea what he'll turn out to be) and the smallest egg Gershwin (assuming grey/mallard-colored) joined us. Mozart has begun acting a little worrisome -- he was very active and seemed fine earlier, but when I went to check on them just now he has a problem keeping his head up and off the ground, and flops more than Gershwin whom, despite being the smallest, is already zipping around without issue.

Could it be Mozart is just tired?

Mozart is blue fawn (also called blue mallard)... and you are correct that Gershwin is a grey...

Got any Nutridrench Poultry vitamins? A drop or 2 of that straight on the tongue is a good pick me up for the weaker starters...

Good idea... it usually does take a day for them to find their feet well, but you reported it was doing well then declined... it might just be tired, but better safe than sorry... and follow a couple drops straight with a couple drops of plain water to wash it down, it tastes nasty, lol...

Yeah...this was the egg that started zipping immediately after the first pip. Rested half way through then popped out early this morning, very vocal and ambulating all over the incubator, so I'm concerend that he's suddenly acting so differently. But, I also haven't seen him close his eyes much before putting him in the brooder so I'm hoping he's just exhausted (although the runt of the litter hasn't had the same problem and is surprising with her vast amount of energy despite just hatching).

Knock on wood, I'll have good news to report tomorrow (and maybe some better pics with them all fluffed and feeling dapper).
