I'm learning! I'm not going to lie, I've lost 2 Roosters so far. The first one had a heart attack. The other one became anemic from Mites, which I knew nothing about. I know now, and keep an eye out for it.

I always get a kick out of how excited they are when food is coming their way. I always get pretty tickled.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I look forward to talking to you guys/gals more often.

As @The Angry Hen stated (PS. she lies.... she's never angry), chickens are my *hobby*, but I absolutely prefer knowing what my food source eats and how it's treated, rather than buy *free range* eggs at the store, or buy a whole chicken that probably was shipped to China for processing. Ugh.
 
Hello there! :frow And :welcome It is wonderful to have you here with us! Believe it or not, chickens have saved me a bunch of money! I have a steady little income from selling my hens extra eggs. And with my large family having free eggs on hand makes a world of difference!
