My first call/mallard ducklings. My mallard duck is a cross of some kind. The ducklings dad is a Call drake. It will be interesting to see how they mature. I did the cross to try for "wild" mallard looking ducks instead of the big, clumsy mallards I have.

Any trouble with them hatching? I know the tiny bills/heads cause trouble for high-quality Calls sometimes.

Thanks to all. The hen is a crested phoenix (of my own creation). Five eggs hatched with no problem, but the sixth egg DIS. Eight more CALLards due next Wednesday and 13 Call eggs hatching too, in the incubator. Looks like a population explosion about to happen; duck nests hither and yon. Going to have to collect their eggs to keep from getting too many.

The Phoenix mother is 1/4th silkie, but the full phoenix are equally good when compared to silkie
