I have these 2 blue Cochins. They are about 18 weeks old and I'm not sure how to tell the sex I Cochins. I've been thinking the 1 on the right is a roo (hoping not) but I can't tell.

Any thoughts?

First I want to say that they are both beautiful birds. I have raised quite a few Cochins over the years and I would say that you have two hens. Even though Cochins are slow to mature, you would see longer waddles at this age if they were cockerels. And of course if there is no crowing by six months, then I would say they are definitely hens. Good Luck

Thank you. I love these "girls". Lol. They are beautiful and so sweet. The 1 on the left is Fluffy and the one on the right is Sapphire.
