Really depends on the day, and what you consider school. Like, does piano count? Some days I'll study for a few hours and other days I read a fun/deepish book (like an historical fiction)

We take breaks from some things but not others. And summer is 4-H season so we definitely don't just chill ;)

Oh boy, here it comes...


It would be much better for the animals if our fair did it in spring, you know, because heat is terrible for chickens and rabbits. Especially if you are doing market rabbits and need to raise a litter in the summer. Mortality rates are high.

Not only this, but late summer is the peak of camping and backpacking season because the nights aren't freezing and there aren't many mosquitoes. This means many of us have to balance all of our church camps, family camping trips, and fair within just a couple weeks. So stressful!

But our fair does it the very end of August "so the school kids can participate." Well guess what? They bumped the public school start date up to a week before fair so it doesn't even matter! :mad:

To sum up, you are very lucky! :D
