CALLING ALL JEWELRY MAKERS! "Bead Swap" Sign Ups CLOSED

gotcha down sackman! Glad you joined us. Just make sure that whatever you send is NOT plastic. We had trouble with that last year. It is in the first post but I was asked to reinerate on that and I too dislike plastic. Not something you want when you make jewelry to sell, buyers tend to run from it

hope you enjoy it though!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:
There will be another swap, Sept/Oct and I will start a thread for it after we get the addresses out for this one.
Less than 24 hours left for sign ups.

Names SHOULD go out on Thursday please make sure you have all pm'ed or emailed me your shipping info!

Hi all,
I'm relatively new to BYC but this thread caught my attention. I will be interested in future bead swaps after I see pics of what was sent/received from this swap.

I have participated in quilting swaps that were very successful - even swapping with quilters from another continent ($$ shipping).

Good luck to all of you and have fun with your new baubles.

We did several last year, however you can only do so many before you run out of stuff that you can part with willingly lol. So since it has been almost a year give or take, I decided it was time.

I do hope you will decide to join us for the next one

My thougth exactly, would love to see what is swapped. Also, I have a swap going myself, so its hard to commit with that. And also, remember that this is canning season....lots of people on here can until alll is put away.

Oh yes, I know. I am in several other swaps myself, but mine are all under chickenstock section. I will do all of the jewelry swaps as bi-monthly. That way it gives people more time. I have three packages going out this week for swaps

I wanted to drop some hints LOL

I use tons of 11/0, 13/0 and 15/0 glass seed beads, 4mm beads and such....

Also, I have a variety of things available that I shall be picking through for the swap, I was curious about one item I am going to include in my package...if folks are interested or if it counts in the swap....

used in place of bugle beads in Native craftwork is a natural product....porcupine quills. I have extra that has been washed, cleaned and sterilzed so if they are allowed and anyone is interested just yell out and if your name is sent to me, I will make sure some are included as a little bonus giftee. They are hollow, sharp pointed and hurt like the dickens if you stick your finger with them. hahahaha

that is neat, I never used them, would honestly probably put them in a vase or something for a conversation piece LOL.

Still need mom'sfolly's mailing info the rest of you are set to go, still a few more hours in the swap sign up. Get your friends in on it! LOL

I want to try something contemporary like this with dyed ones getting them to lay right will be the task...picking through them for perfect size and shape will be the painful task most likely. Hahaha
