Calling all medical personell

My son severely injured his wrist a few years ago, and had to be rushed to the ER, then to another hospital for surgery. My wrist ached for days. My dh tends to really react when something happens to a character on TV. He'll jump if someone gets hurt/shot/etc. Kind of annoying at times.

With me it's like a tingly feeling. There is one commercial where the kid does a belly dance across a paved parking lot and I feel every bit of it. I get this tingly feeling. It's really weird. It happened today while i was watching Xmen and Scott get thrown onto his back on a rock and he lands on his back hitting his head.

Of course I knew i was a emotionally sensitive person but this is bazarr. I just wonder if it meant something was wrong.

I do suffer from chronic pain.

I didn't need to watch the whole video. I'm afraid of heights, but have no problem looking out a plane window. One time we were in a bus in Isreal and going to Jericho and our side of the bus was right near a huge drop. I couldn't look. Then one time we were in Greece up on the side of a mountain at a Monastery and everyone was looking down over the side of a steep hill. I couldn't stand it til we were in the bus and left. I was just so nervous someone would lose their footing and go over the side.

whenever I see someone high up (I'm afraid of heights) or injured, it makes a strange nauseous feeling up the backs of my legs.. like my legs might throw up... if they could. you should probably try to avoid violent movies, it's not good for your brain, especially if you're already 'feeling' along with the characters.

I have this feeling when I am near an overlook or drop off, drive on a big mountain with steep slopes away from the road, when I climb a very high fire tower. I don't really feel fear of heights in my head or heart, but my legs and butt feel a completely different way!

Not something I can control.

I also feel some people's pain but not normally while watching a movie...just in real life. I've witnessed some surgeries, painful looking procedures, traumatic wounds.....I still am able to participate and assist with these things but all the while am feeling some painful nerves down deep inside.

I guess its the same thing that makes you open your mouth and close it when you feed someone!

IMO we are all more capable than we let our selves believe.... We tend to get "busy" with life and don't take the time to explore such phenomena..

(I don't watch TV, the news or violent movies. Way too much sadness and violence for me.) I prefer the natural world around me.

If I let my self feel a tragedy that is on the nightly news or something, it can hurt me deeply and for a long time.. Especially if young kids were involved.
