I was considering an ova-easy myself but decided to start small.

Yes it is just over the warranty. I did two seasons with a Hova-bator still air/no turner--very old school. I think I may pull the old girl out of retirement. The replacment thermostat for the Brinsea is $79.00. I have an e-mail into Brinsea, we'll see what they say.

I've lost about 100 eggs so far.....
 
I would fire it back up on another outlet in the house with a authenticity protector and see if the bator is the problem....run it empty for 24 hours.
