CALLING ALL NEWBIES!! first hatch ever!!!!

I have 15 eggs in the bator and I'm so NERVOUS!!!! I'm not sure If they're fertile, since its only been two days. Any pointers??

Is this your first hatch?

You may want to wait until day 10 to candle. You can always candle sooner but please take a look at the Candling thread in the Incubating and Hatching Eggs index first (One of the first three or four posts at the top).

It will help you figure out what you are looking for and at. It is AWESOME!

The first ten days are the LONGEST.

Thanks so much. You're right about them being so long!! Its only been 2 days, and it feels like months. There's so many ways to mess up. I'll just be happy when...if...I have those little fluff-butts in my hands

Good luck and it is very nerve wracking for your first hatch..well I am still in my first hatch and it has been very nerve wracking..good luck and try to enjoy the experience and keep us posted of how it is going...

I'm on my first hatch ever as well.

I've assisted with hatches, but never had one to myself....

Good luck, I'm on day six of my first hatch and its soo hard not to mess with those darn eggs! I too am very excited to see my new fluffies....sitting on my hands for the next 15 days

Ohhhh, maaaaan, I have to keep my incubators in the guest room so I don't see 'em unless I go in there... If they were in sight all the time, I'd stop whatever I was doing and fog up the view from the outside, with my face pressed flat to the incubator. All the time.

This is my first try at incubating too, I put my eggs in yesterday and I'm watching the bator like a hawk, I don't know what to expect but will be grateful if I even have just one hatch out of 16.

right on. Yeah, I'm glued to that thing!! I have 15 (well 16, if you count the one that's cracked a bit) in there, and I'm soooooooo nervous. Especially for the cracked one. Well, Fingers crossed!!
