Calling all pet bird owners!!

Lemmy is the sweetest bird ever and is devoted to our son. Sprout is tiny but mighty and always makes us laugh with his attitude.
They are so handsome! Have you bred them?

My boy loves me, and is "aggressive" to the rest of the family, I dont know why for sure, but doesn't bother me!
He also has an attitude, if one of the family members puts their hand near or inside the cage, he goes on full attack mode.
He may get me every now and then, but he puts up with me.

I don't want to breed from our inside boys, but in the aviary we have some lovely birds. Here's our pair that currently have 6 chicks, Neon on the left and Opal on the right:

They actually have another male helping out. He sits on the eggs and chicks, helps out with the feeding, and these two will kick him out when they want a turn. I think that's why the hen keeps adding eggs to the nest!

One of their chicks is a Lutino and it will be a pearl pied Lutino so I can't wait to see how she turns out. She's only 2 weeks old but she's the biggest, fattest chick and every time I pick her up she complains that she's so hungry (with a crop full stuffed full of food).

Sprout doesn't overly like our son but adores our daughter and considers her his human. He tells her off if she dares to scritch Lemmy. Lemmy is very docile but is scared of my husband because he's the one that gets to trim their wings.

Every single cockatiel is an absolute little individual. Most of ours were hand reared (by us) and they are all completely different little characters.

Wow, absolutely amazing!
With all those babies, do you sell?

We just recently lost one of our three tiels, she was a lutino...
All three of our tiels were bought from a great pet shop that hand-reared them as well, they are such good birds, and both lutino girls and scout are siblings.
We have just the two now.

I'm sorry you lost your girl. :hugs

We will have to sell most of them and the local petshop would like some. I'll hand rear a few as they are such great pets, but even the ones in the aviary will be well handled. We've only just this season (it's summer at my end of the world) started breeding them but I know a very good breeder and that's where I got most of our birds.

Hi, I'm Lydia!

I am hoping to get a couple of parakeets soon, and want to see pictures, pictures, and more pictures of your pet birds! Wether they be parakeets, cockatiels, conures, cockatoos, or macaws, I would love to see pictures!

If you know someone on here with pet bird(s), please tag them!

@muddy75 @KDOGG331 @CrazyCochin @anybodyelsewithapetbird!

Congrats on your new feathered companions! Have you gotten them yet?

I have 3 budgies (parakeets) and a conure.
Budgies are Ducky, Piper, and Scout. Ducky is the most friendly. Piper and Scout are a bonded pair.
The conure is Monty. He's friendly and will step up on my arm and sit on my shoulders and even cuddle, but he's afraid of hands.

All active and delightful.
