what the heck is he then?? Oh he does has feathers on his legs-a few of them not on toes though.

I'm thinking Faverolle cross also. He had to get his 5 toes from somewhere. Fav's have light leg feathering, so does he. Hens lay light brown eggs so I doubt if his offspring will give you blue or green eggs. BUT, since he has a pea comb, you never know what genes are lurking.

Story is kinda funny. I hatched him 5 months+ ago. I sold my friend 4 pullets at 6 weeks old-he was supposed to be a pullet. He was my favorite and I didnt want to let him go but she fell in love with "her" at the time! SO I did. Then last week she called me and said KFC crowed! I said ooh Im so sorry-I told her I would trade her for a hen of her choice that I had-except the expensive ones-LOL...When she brought him back "I fell in love" he was gorgeous-I said I am not processing him like I said I was going to-he's going to be a breeder for something!!! So she picked a barred rock hen at point of lay-very happy I might add and went home. He is a big boy and very cuddly "looking" Im going to work on it:)

As I said, he's a very colourful mutt. Possibly a Faverolle/Easter Egger cross but hard to say for sure. Funny things happen when you cross breed & the Easter Egger gene pool can be pretty deep.

I'd say faverolle x EE as well. Faverolles are supposed to be really docile- so you probably have a roo that will stay "nice". Definaletly a keeper for your EE girls! What a handsome guy!

I still say Faverolle cross. General body type and conformation, bearded, and five toes. I have yet to see a 5 toed EE. Not saying that he isn't an EE cross, but there would have to be a cross to a 5 toed breed somewhere, and with the lack of characteristics from those other particular breed, I say Faverolle cross.
