Same though I've seen dead chickens due to overheating, racoon, and smushed under a bag of bedding

Happier topic... What is your favorite chicken memory? and Why?
Mine is when I thought it would be cool to teach a chicken to jump on a lilac tree in their pen and then she taught all of the other hens to do the same and we constantly had to round them up If anyone ever tells me that chickens are dum they haven't spent enough time with them lol

Probably coming home from school and finding out that my chicks that I have been wanting for years ended up arriving a day early

I think it's sadder when they die without a purpose you know? At least with meat they aren't wasted.
