My dad is a certified Firefighter, but never gets any calls.

my Dad has always wanted to be a volunteer firefighter but he's already
engineer/judge/farmer/pastor/swim teacher so he's a biiiit short on time. He looked into it a couple months ago though.

It honestly doesnt take much. My dad has all the certification, and he can drive the trucks. I dont know the regulations for where you live, some departments make you have all the certifications but others dont. Some require you to be at every meeting and make almost every call, some dont.

I don't know how busy it is here.
Grass fires and planned burns will be about it, I should think.
Not that grass fires can be any less dangerous then other kinds, but usually they are a bit more manageable.
