Calling all teenagers

Working with a contractor on my days off. Today we had to power wash a house/deck and clean their windows

Idk if I would be able to butcher honestly I think I just love birds too much

I have to set it in my mind right from when they're little that they're going to be butchered. I still have a hard time with the one from my flock that I hatch personally, though. So I definitely understand that!

I think I'm just a bit soft when it comes to animals. I have shot 2 deer before and I enjoy hunting, but I probably won't go out again foe awhile because it makes me too sad. It would probably be even worse for something I raised myself. I have no problem watching my dad do it tho.

Same. While my family on both sides aren't animal lovers I still feel kinda bad shooting predators and such.

I'm fine fishing and killing fish, crustaceans, etc. Probably because they don't feel much pain and don't really have emotions. They also don't look up at you with big begging eyes like a rabbit or deer or something would

Well, actually, they can feel as much pain as any other animal, but..

What'd you guys do today?

Ran some errands. Walked my dogs. Denvers dealing with hotspots she has 2 developing right now. Time for another vet visit. Ran into one of my moms friends, and she may be giving me some Silkie or Polish hatching eggs, she also has a few other breeds! Now perfect time to get a chicken to go broody.

im soft to it hurts me to see a single animal suffer. But i learned that if im doing it to provide food(like deer, pigs or a cow) that arent ours im ok with it. I enjoy hunting and fishing a lot! Although ive never had to butcher any animals ive raised. I told my dad to go buy some meat chickens if he really wants meat. Although i will end up having to butcher on of my chickens.
