No chicks for me right now because i would be breeding my Japanese bantams which aren’t hardy. It was 19 F today.Yes right now the 6 chicks are just in a 20 gallon aquarium with a screen lid and they are starting to outgrow it. Usually if its a large batch of chicks I use a medal water tank or a large wood box, but I wanted to make something more permanent and looks nicer. So far we got the frame and floor done.

Same it snowed yesturday which was strange. I had to get the heat light set up for my button quail since they don't do well in the coldIt’s already started to snow here which isn’t good for me since normally its way later here.
I was planning to do some more with the coop because the week before was in the 80s. Connecticut weather is all over the place i guess.
