Well, I adopt them whenever people are getting rid of their chickens. I've rescued ten already, from different families who didn't want to or couldn't care for their hens any more. I want to run a chicken sanctuary as soon as I'm old enough.

That's so cool! Good for you! I actually have adopted before, I got 3 pullets because their owner was getting complaints. That was 2 years ago and I still have the 3 of them.
A chicken sanctuary is a neat idea, I hope you are able to do that.
