Been a hot minute but wanted to announce that I got a promotion! Our foster kitten is now 7 weeks old and is getting big. Went to Cedar Point Sunday as an impulse trip and then pulled a muscle in my thigh at work the other day. Other than that nothing else 😂

Planned a vacation road trip out west from October 6-14. Super excited I never been that way of the country before

One egg cracked before anything could develop, on Day 7 another hen cracked an egg and killed the embryo (the egg already had cracks before I noticed in time, so the other hens noticed). 😭 Now there are 3 eggs left. 2 are definitely developing and I'm not sure about 1, and today is Day 9. Are 2 chicks enough for a Silkie Hen?
 
Well Yokie Jr hatched only one chick. She had 2 Marans eggs and one Ameraucana egg and the blue Ameraucana was the only one that hatched. It looked like the Marans eggs were fertile but I guess not. At least the one chick is doing good. Still no information about the Peacock eggs. I hope we see him soon so I can ask him because it's starting to get a bit late in the year for Peacock breeding season :(

Welcome! I have been raising chickens for around 8 years now and added Button Quail almost 2 years ago. I will be going to a farming school this year I'm exited for that.

Woah farming school sounds interesting do you learn how to sell livestock or what exactly do they teach you?? I’ve always wanted to be an actual farmer but I live in a urban area that just allows 6 poultry 💔
