The two I’ve been to had lines of chicks they would let kids pet, I saw the employees hand them to kids, wait and few seconds and literally toss them into the brooder. When they had to fill up food or water I seen them slap away chicks near the feeder to get it. Half the feeders and watered were empty until I mentioned it. If some were being loud, they’d put them in a box and lock them in an empty room behind the racks. The employees knew so little I asked what breed a turkey lily was and the girl shrugged and said it didn’t matter.
