What about the ones that need more weight?

Give them enough food, but don't put tons of food. Just enough to get them to the perfect weight.

There are people here who know better than I.

I have a runt and her poor ribs arent very fleshy if at all...

Give them smaller portions, and only give it to them at certain times of day.

I never had a problem with it and have had several large chickens however I read It's a lot less common in free range chickens and I free range at least twice a week so maybe that's why

yeah back when I had a larger flock I had some chickens that were so fat! (my old hen daisy was almost obese smh) but I had some other hens that were too skinny. that was in my first year of chicken keeping so I didn't know a lot. Daisy was a bully so I had to seperate her out for a few days and than she was lower in the pecking order and the ones that were underweight I added a second feeder bc I didn't know I should've had more food sources

Same only Daisy isn't a bully she is top hen but does it very well. Having a second feeder helped sassy mouse because she wasnt being allowed to eat with the others. I didn't know to have more either especially with only 4 chickens
