I think hawks can tear up their prey, but owls dont have the right beaks to, or something

they prefer to swallow their meals it makes it easier to puke of the bones and fur/feathers

yeah my girls ate one with no ill effects. just don't give them alot the solanide i think its called can give them an upset stomach if consumed to much

They're part of the nightshade family (i think), like potatoes, so they cant eat them if they are green, same as potatoes
