calling any one from missouri

I agree, a bird and stuff swap sounds great! Keep us informed. Might be able to do it at the fairgrounds in Sedalia....I know they have the Mo Poultry assn show there. Don't know the cost but maybe someone does. I agree that July and Aug are not good....too many fairs going on then. Might be good to do one around Feb. that way the 4-H kids can get some good birds for showing!

Thanks Cason, I will talk w/ DH and see what he thinks. Sure wish they would have posted pic of the roo too.

JMajors Sedalia is out for me tooo far away, I am right at the Iowa line. I would not want to transport birds and people together that far. It would be enough just to get to Columbia or Jeff City. But at least there I have family. Feb or Mar may not be too bad of an Idea. But if we can find a more central location. One of us could contact some 4H groups and see if they have any suggestions. I will ask some on our 4H counsel and see what they say.

Those 5 EE's from craigslist are mine. The one squated down is the roo, but that was a couple months ago. They are all about 5-6 months old. If interested, I can see if I can get a better pic of the roo now. Just let me know.

Possibly the most central location may be the Boone County Fairgrounds. I would agree it should be in March or early April. I know I was planning on taking extra birds to the Spring swap at Jacob's Cave.

Cqranch I guess I don't know where Jacob's Cave is where is that, and yes i would love to see a more recent pic of that Roo. Showed them to DH, but as I said I need to rehome 2 or 3 cockrells now before I bring home more... I am interested in those though...

As for the swap, I will check with my local 4-H extension office and see what we can do. Brookfield has the Linn County Fairgrounds. It is not central Missouri but more north central Missouri. Boone county fairgrounds would be good too but is there someone down there that can get things arranged?

And Karanleaf, I just realized we are only like an hour and half away from each other. It takes me like an hour maybe less to go to Kirksville! HOW COOL!!!

The Jacobs Cave swap is held twice a year I believe. Once in spring and once in fall. It is located near Versailles and Gravois Mills. I believe there is another swap around the Rolla area that has them more often during the spring/fall/summer months.

Karan - I'll try to get some newer pics of the roo. Will have to borrow my daughter's digi again.
