I'm back from TSC. They rolled my feed order out the door for me. There was only one other car there at 8:30.

I'm going to do an online order at TSC for chicken feed this morning, and when I go pick it up, I'll call from the parking lot and ask them to roll it out the door for me.
Chickweed is prolific right now. Do any of you recognize this weed? It's a tender wild green that is delicious in salads. Also, chickens love it. You can pull it up by the handful for them. Later in the season, it won't be as tender.

We had some chickweed last year, I've not seen any yet this year but things are starting to wake up. My black cherry trees are putting on leaves.

Well I went to Walmart before dawn in pouring rain. Very few shoppers. Certain shelves still empty, but again, I got what I needed. I hope I have enough supplies for at least 2-3 weeks now. I would rather not go out at all.

I'm pretty sure this is what I have growing all over the place.
I know the ducks like to eat it.
Maybe I'll have to try some myself

I've heard the same story more or less about the National Guard and Military. If you can work from home it's a good thing right now. I did a survey of the chest freezer and found lots of stuff I had forgot about so I made a list and put it on the refrigerator door to remind me what's in there.

I did the same thing with our deep freezer a couple of months ago. I was saying just yesterday that I needed to go back through it and up date the list. I try to mark things off as I used them, but I know I've missed some.

I planted some raspberry plants, 2 elderberry trees and 2 pear trees. Now I am worried about this cold weather we have been having! Lows of 32 and 39. I also have 30 strawberry roots to plant and 2 cherry bushes. Do you think it is okay to plant them now or should I wait longer? I ordered them from Stark Brothers and they delivered them a few days ago. Well almost a week ago by now. I set them out during the day but have brought them in at night.

We don't have any freezes in the 10 day forecast, do you?
I'm not knowledgeable about whether those plants can survive a frost. I've only planted cold weather veggies so far. Lettuce, peas, kale, spinach, and radishes.

The forecasts seem to change so frequently it's hard to tell! I think I am going to go ahead and try to get them planted today and hope for the best!

The *warmer* weather has increased egg laying like crazy for my girls. I got a HUGE egg today from my sapphire gem. Excuse the mud, it still hasn't dried up yet in the run

it goes: normal chicken egg, duck egg, and bam, huge chicken egg.
