Looks like Thursday night I'll cover up the tomatoes again. Forecast today for Thursday night is 41°F and Friday night 42°F and I was going to plant a couple more of my winter tomatoes today...

Just lacking the trim around the screens and it will be time to build a brooder.

I'm so disappointed with myself. It actually got nice outside today and I did not get out and do anything other than let the chickens out and then collect eggs and lock them back up.:he What a waste of a perfectly good day. About the time I did go out and realize how nice it was, it was time to come in and log on the computer to try to figure out how to play a game online. We have a group that used to meet every other Monday to play a game together. Now we are trying to do it online. We are getting it figured out.
 
good morning evereyone! It's over 60 here. I just got back from the senior shopping hour at Walmart. (6-7 am) I'd say 75% of folks were wearing masks or some sort of face covering. I was wearing my coop cleaning mask which happens to be an N-95. I had tied up my hair under my hat and wore clothes I would change when I got home. I used self check-out, wiping down everything including the screen and pinpad w antibacterial wipes.
At home, I set non-perishables in the spare room to wait a few days, and washed all the perishables before refrigerating.
I got toilet paper!!!!!!!!!! :wee They had an employee guarding it so no one took more than one pack. Even so, they will run out before the senior hour is over I think.
Gas is $1.57! Wow.

Wow! I got gas for $1.71 and thought I was doing good. I'm only 58 so I don't qualify for the senior hour. My husband does, but he is rarely up that early!!
I did stop at Walgreens for a prescription (out of stock, come back tomorrow after 4) but I was able to get the few things my Mom asked me to get. So I dropped them off at the Care center and then waited to make sure someone came out to get them.
I looked at Walmart's parking lot. Nope, not going to do it. It was completely packed!!:eek:
If they still had late hours I would go in the middle of the night, but that is no longer an option.
 
Yea, gas is $1.45 here and no I won't go into the grocery store during the middle of the day. Only early in the morning. I'll start going to Walmart for the few things I get there at 6am Tuesdays.

I'm using the pickup service at Kroger to get my packaged goods, I'll still make an early Friday run for the fresh stuff like salad fixings.

ha, no. I do look like I'm over 60 tho. And so did everyone else entering.
I imagine that they do turn people away, especially as the end the the hour arrives.
