Is it to late to enter them or do i just show up with them that morning i know nothing

it would be my first show and do i have to be registered with the APA to show?

entries had to be in by Oct 3 rd but there will be a sale area and other stuff going on. there is a show in highland IL coming up Nov 6 you have untill Oct 22 to enter. you do not have to be a member of the APA to show. It should be fun

Moved my two week old meat birds outdoors last night. Couldn't take the funk anymore. They were in the shop but wow do they stink. Closed them in the chicken tractor and they were fine this morning.

Can anybody in SW Missouri help me out a little with a winterizing question?

My "Windows" are only holes in the wall covered in hardware cloth. I am thinking about using bath towels stapled over the openings to permit air flow, but block direct breezes from blowing in. I suppose I could shutter them, but then I would be concerned with finding the right setting for ventilation.

I am near the Arkansas line, what can I expect for winter temps, and would the towels over the windows be adequate? Should I go ahead and make shutters?

How did everyone do at the Sedalia show? I brought 4 d'uccles. There were only 3 more d'uccles to compete with, but I won Bb in both shows. I hadn't planned on being there from 8-5. That was way too long!

How was the Sedalia show? Was it bigger than the last one? Last time, when I went, there were mostly bantams and most of them were Silkies, I think. Did they have many Large Fowl? Did you get pictures? Do you know if there were any Delawares there?

They had dominiques, australorps, barred rock, buff orps, I didn't remember seeing any new hampshires. I saw a fair # of leghorns, don't remember any welsummers, their were a few sumatras large & bantam. Their were a LOT of nice looking polish. I can't remember the rest, I was pretty sleep deprived. Of the waterfowl, I might have to get some east indies ducks if we ever get a pond. I loved their black shiny feathers with blue and green hues.

I'd really hoped to see more d'uccles, 4 of the 7 there were mine.
