The Keytesville sale just had their last one, they run from early spring to end of October.
I haven't been to Jacob's Cave in a few years. When will there next one be?
I am excited about my new laying pullet. This year I incubated Ameracaunas, Marans and OE. Well I only got 1 FBCM pullet and she hasn't started laying yet. But I have a beautiful blue pullet that I assumed was an Ameracauna (because of the muffs) and she is laying a very dark egg. I can't wait to see the Marans egg! Here are her first few eggs along side a Wyandotte egg.
Since we've been adopted by a stray rooster, guess we've joined the chicken club.
He's been here for a few months now. Think he must have been kicked out by the neighbor down the street's rooster. I left a message on their phone, but they never returned my call. So now he's claimed us, and we've named him. Doodle Do!
Doodle has chosen to roost on the top rail of the horses' stall panels at the back of the barn. It's getting cold so we insulated the rail with pipe insulation secured with vet wrap. The horses don't seem very interested in him. He's already convinced the barn cat and our heeler puppy that roosters rule.
Lol too bad you live way up there I could have sold you some chicks to go with the rooster this spring. About Jacobs cave I have never been but we sure hope to make it there this year. Thanks for the dates on that. Yes we allow okies, do you ever get as far east as Springfield? Just curiosity I am up here in Lebanon.
Yea I hear from a few people I know that it is huge. We plan to take something to get around on. Also I am not sure hut am I able to bring chicks to sell there as well? Not sure if I have to register or something. Last question is I am still not sure how to get there. Anywhere I can find directions on the Internet or something?
