what time is that gonna be ready?

I asked turkey and it ( I’m leaning toward ‘she’ these days) said it was up for a road trip and some green beans 😉

Our youngsters are 15 weeks old and some of the pullets are getting reddish wattles. I set up milk crate nest boxes, and one of the girls actually went in the lower one several times, tho I didn't have my camera ready.
In the older hens' house, milk crates are now very popular, more so than the wooden nests they used to like best. So I figured, why go to any trouble building wooden boxes, just stack a couple of milk crates in the corner.

This is Veronica and she was 15 weeks old last Wednesday. Her comb and waddles are as big as my 3 year olds.

Most of the rest of the pullets look like this one except Victoria she is between them and Veronica.

None of them go inside during the day anymore so I might stop having food and water outside when it cools down a bit. Nest box is almost ready...

Little Maz and Princess Laia, (Sprights mix) 15 weeks, hopped up on my lap today--their faces are reddening. I think we will have eggs this summer/fall from all the pullets!

DD and DH are putting up a new, bigger mailbox this morning so the mail lady won't have to get out of her jeep to bring packages to the porch as often. I think she'll appreciate that, as she has told us how crunched for time she is.
