Just peeked at the rain gauge and we got a little over 2" last night. I hope my drains worked...

Looking at the pullets run it's about 2/3 wet so they will have muddy feet for a while. Last time some had dried mud toe nails that looked like balloons... I had to use pliers to break the dried mud off.

It stopped raining and the sun came out! And so did The Armadillo....

It's very rare to see their faces. I didn't realize they have hairs along the jaw....
 
Queen Victoria is an early layer it's 5:49AM 1hour and 13 minutes until dawn and she is getting in the nest box. They say chickens can't see at night but I wonder if they can see the IR light from the camera well enough to get around?
