Just peeked at the rain gauge and we got a little over 2" last night. I hope my drains worked...

Looking at the pullets run it's about 2/3 wet so they will have muddy feet for a while. Last time some had dried mud toe nails that looked like balloons... I had to use pliers to break the dried mud off.

It's very rare to see their faces. I didn't realize they have hairs along the jaw....

Thank goodness it finally stopped raining!
It rained all day yesterday and all night and half the day today.

The pullets hit a grand slam today 12 eggs from 12 pullets! One small 10 medium and one large... getting bigger every week. My buddy was just by and has some bagged up dry leaves for me, just in time to put in the CQ's run.

Queen Victoria is an early layer it's 5:49AM 1hour and 13 minutes until dawn and she is getting in the nest box. They say chickens can't see at night but I wonder if they can see the IR light from the camera well enough to get around?

Yes I made the poop table. I use Sweet PDZ not sand.
