calling any one from missouri

I noticed our Roo doing that the other day with the girls. I laughed so hard at him! I told him too that it was time to go to bed and he just grunted at me. I think he's anxious because the one is still out but I can't get her to go in. It's dark when I leave in the morning and dark when I get home now. I'm afraid if I don't get her back in soon she'll get so used to being out that it will be impossible to let her out again. If I wait until spring to let them out do you think that is long enough to break her of the nesting/roosting place she has found?

Thanks for the advise all!

BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where did our nice weather go? Winterized the chicken coop by adding a bale of straw to the pen. I love to watch them scratch and peck at a fresh bale. Keeps them busy for hours and I don't have to do the spreading. Didn't put one in the house yet, might watch the weather to see if its going to stay cold. I will plug in the heated water bowl though.

I also added some straw to the chicken tractor. Meat birds are too dumb to scratch their straw so my son got in their and spread it out for them. They were all laying in the mud. I am so ready to get rid of them.

brrrrrrrrr, wasnt real cold here this morning, but then the thunder sleet started.

sleeted for about an hour, and the wife brought a bantam langshan cockeral in the house to warm up.

3rd time he's been in the house this fall, i think he may have a system figured out.

i hate sleet and snow, except when i dont have to go to work!
