calling any one from missouri

Thanks for your quick response.

I wasn’t sure how much of a time gap was acceptable.

I tried candling this morning, couldn’t tell a thing. (Big dark area, little light area.) I’ll go look at pics & try again tonight when it’s darker. She’s sitting on 2 brown & 2 green eggs.
Big dark area is good. Eggs are on day 13? What color eggs are they? It is hard to see into brown eggs. This is what you’d see in white eggs:

In other news, I got my 2nd (Moderna) vaccination yesterday afternoon. My arm is really sore (as with the first) & I don’t feel quite right...a little queasy & a little warm. I’m happy I’m able to slack off today.
My brother got the Moderna and the second shot made him feel like he had the flu for 24 hours, he took it easy and rested and the next day he was boiling crawfish... did I mention he lives in Reserve Louisiana?

I am beginning to suspect (hope) that the Polar Vortex killed the armadillos. Haven’t seen any of them, nor any damage. There are several newly tilled areas they would have loved to mess up that remain untouched.
Anyone else?

yep, I saw quite a few dead right after that when I was out hiking and stuff...

But I did see a couple dead on the road this weekend, so some of them must have survived, but I’d guess it knocked the population back quite a bit...

unfortunately we don’t have any blue birds or Carolina wrens around the house this year... that cold weather wiped out a bunch of them too 😞

All the bluebirds are at my house hanging at the feeder 😉
