There are some fields between Dudley and Dexter where millions of snow geese stop by. I need to try and find a photo of them...SNOW GEESE!
I’m in Arkansas just a few minutes from the Missouri line. But, I’d say coons and coyotes will still be on your list in Missouri, as well as hawks and eagles. The eagles have been flying low over my property this year as compared to other years but I haven’t had anything taken yet. However, I have had a hawk take off with a young bird. I tried to leave my coop open one time so the birds could come out as soon as they want in the morning. Their coop is in a fenced area with my pyrenees so I thought they’d be safe. However, a possum was sneaking in and killing my chickens at night. Hope that helps!Hi there! We currently live in NH but will be moving to Missouri in the next few months.
(Yay cross country(ish) trip with 20+ birds!)
What sorts of predators do you guys find is the most threatening to your flocks there? Coons and coyotes are the biggest worry up here.
